Two scrap classes being offered.

JULY 3RD, FRIDAY AT 1:30PM

 MOTHER/DAUGHTER OR MUMSIE/GRANDCHILD CLASS.

AGES 9 UP.

This class will consist of a two page layout

on the topic of FRIENDS

what will be taught:

1) HOW TO USE  A SCRAP CUTTER AND MEASURE PAPER

2) HOW TO FOLLOW A SCRAPBOOK PATTERN

3) ANTIQUING TECHNIQUES.

4) HOW TO USE YOUR TALENT TO MIX COLORS

5)HOW TO MAKE A CLOTH FLOWER WITH SCRAPS.

6)BRING THREE TO 5 PICTURES OF THE 4 BY 6 SIZE.

Enjoy an afternoon with your kiddo.

PRICE IS $25.00 A PERSON, ALL SUPPLIES ARE PROVIDED.

JUST IN TIME FOR RETURN TO SCHOOL!

OPEN TO GIRLS AGES 9 TO 13.

This class will consist of teaching how to cover and 

preserve composition books, make them like no other!

1) HOW TO USE A SCRAPCUTTER AND PAPER MEASURE.

2) ANTIQUING TECHNIQUES.

3) HOW TO MIX AND MATCH DIFFERENT PAPERS.

4) HOW TO ADD DESIGNS, STAMPING.

5) HOW TO COVER WITH PRESERVATIVE.

Children love this class!

6 openings at $35 per child, all supplies included.

Drop them off at 1:30, pick them up at 3:30!

If class fills will offer another.

Will also do a boys class if need is there.

THE COTTAGE IS NOT JUST FOR PARTIES!

I will be adding pics later today but,

MUMSIE'S COTTAGE is not just for 

parties and classes. I also do 

birthday and wedding invitations,

wedding programs, scrapbooks for out.

I will add pictures of a few i have done in the past.

No job is too big.

I make my own Christmas cards every year and if you

have received one from me, you know my quality 

of work. My work is not computer generated.

They are hand done one by one,

something hard to find in todays

computer world. You give me a picture

you want to use for xmas cards, a number on

how many you need and a basic idea of what

you want and I do the rest.....

Excited!!!! Read on about partying on!

Not only do I have my first confirmed job,

(thanks Susan) but have had many enquiries for other things.

So now, be the first preteen/teen to have your birthday party at 

MUMSIE'S COTTAGE!

It will be fun! 

Or maybe just a gathering of friends,

a back to school party......

Because it's new and I am focusing on 

giving great and fun parties for you and your friends,

I have a maximum head count of 10 friends

for a birthday!

You will be able to choose from an assortment of things 

you can make, will be posting pics of

those things soon,

1) Be the cool teen at school who scraps her

composition books for school!

2) I also can do a journal style book,

we decorate the outside and I share ideas on journaling.

Not everything has to be placed on the net,

some things are meant to be yours.

I have been a journal writer since I was 12,

would love to share some of my techniques and readings with you.

3) Photo frames, each of your friends can go

home with a photo frame made by themselves and

place a picture of our day in it!

4) We can decorate a cool cup with a lid to be used

to hold all those hair accessories.

5) Teach how to make a mini album with sandwich brown

paper bags, Scrapping does not have to be expensive.

With all of these classes, there will be lots of laughing, fun,

learning how to use those cutting tools you see and 

wonder, "What the heck?"

and other equipment, glue runners, stamping, antiquing....

Oh there is sooo much I can share with you all!

get a group of your lady friends, a night you guys are free,

bottle of wine or two, and I can teach a few things to 

you girls...or boys....

you name it, we can do it!

Excuse me, while I think aloud....

For many years, even before I retired from nursing,

I had a dream, a dream of owning an older home

where I could teach lessons on not only scrapbooking

and craft ideas but to show children about old fashioned 

etiquette. Fearing for their world, the world of technology 

where instead of talking, they text, they play video games

rather than play outside with their friends.

Having worked with children for the last years of

my nursing career, being a school nurse,

I have seen what children need. Common sense etiquette.

Not the things parents teach them,

but those old fashioned southern things that are dying

in our area. The South has always been known for 

their hospitality. Now being single, it is so nice

to have a date where men open doors for me,

pull out chairs at restaurants, the little things

that they have probably been taught by the elders of

their family. This is what I want to bring back to our

young children, especially our young men.

Opening doors for their Mother, their dates as they

get older. How to go to the door for a date, not  honk the

horn, how to converse with adults and pick up the 

cell phones. Those things that are dying.

Each thought I have, more fill my mind of all I can

do here in my cottage.

I need your help for this to take off!

Call or text about birthday parties, classes being

scheduled. After July 4th, will post here classes

being offered, will be small classes so book early.

Also instead of Chuckie Cheese, gatherings at your house

for birthday parties, have your child be one of the first

to have a scrap party. Things I have to offer are not just scrap book

pages. Rather a list of things the birthday girl can choose

from where she and her friends can make.

Cover their school compositions, journals.

This is just a few. For the older teen,

I have a class to make a journal and talking

of how to journal.....
